Klatt Works and FedEx team up to aid in smoke in the cockpit emergencies with SAVED product and receive FAA STC Certification

Pleasanton, CA – Klatt Works, Inc., a leading innovator in aviation technology, is proud to announce they are working with FedEx for the innovative SAVED (Smoke Assured Vision Enhanced Display) product with augmented reality (AR) technology. This game-changing product is specifically designed for cockpit smoke emergencies and has received a new and novel Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for use on the 777F. This achievement comes after rigorous testing and evaluation of the SAVED system's performance and safety features. FedEx will install the product in its fleet of 777F aircraft and is moving toward certification for the 757 and 767 fleets.

SAVED product is a state-of-the-art system that uses cutting-edge Augmented Reality Technology to help pilots navigate through smoke in the cockpit and other environmental factors that may cause an inability to see the instruments and out in front of the aircraft. Inside the oxygen mask, SAVED provides pilots with a clear view of the aircraft’s nose cam video overlaid with critical flight information via Head-Up Display (HUD) symbology, allowing pilots to make better decisions during smoke emergencies.
